Beatles Bop – Hamburg Days
This is the considered the most complete set of recordings by Tony Sheridan and The Beatles (aka The Beat Brothers) in 1961 originally recorded for Tony Sheridan's My Bonnie when what were to become The Beatles were working as his backup band. Numerous variations of these Bert Kaempfert-produced tracks have been released over the years. These are songs on which John, Paul, and George actually played. In other versions, in many cases some tracks were performed by musicians other than The Beatles. See The Beatles First for more information.
Beatles Bop – Hamburg Days was released in 2001 by Bear Family (Germany) in a two-CD jewel box that included a 99-page booklet. A Deluxe Edition that included a 120-page hardcover book was also released.
