Abbey Road Studios Twist and Shout was the second Canadian release of Beatles' music, distributed by Capitol Canada. It was basically a monaural re-release of the Beatles' first UK album, Please Please Me, first sold in the UK on March 22, 1963. The Canadian version first went on sale on February 3, 1964. Capitol Canada modified the track listing on this record and on their next Beatles release, The Beatles' Long Tall Sally. In this case, two songs from Please Please Me were deleted (the opener, I Saw Her Standing There, and Misery). In their place, the album Twist and Shout added two single releases from the UK: From Me to You and She Loves You.
