Keep Your Hands Off My Baby was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, two well-known and prolific song writers during the early 1960's. Little Eva made this song a hit in the US in 1962. Several different artists recorded this song, the Beatles among them. The version performed by the Beatles was recorded on January 22, 1963 for the BBC radio show The Saturday Club. It was later released as part of the collection, Live at the BBC. In February of 1963 the Beatles made their first tour of the UK and performed this song as part of their show. John Lennon sang lead, with Paul and George providing harmonies. There is no hard evidence that the Beatles ever recorded this song for EMI, though it was almost certainly considered for their debut album, Please Please Me, which was recorded in February of 1963, just two weeks after the BBC broadcast.
