Nothin' Shakin (But the Leaves on the Trees) was released in 1958 by Eddie Fontaine and adopted by the Beatles into their early performance repertoire with George Harrison taking the lead vocal. Songwriting credit goes to Eddie Fontaine and three others.

The song is classic rockabilly. The Beatles recorded this song on July 10, 1963 at the Aeolian Hall in London for the sixth edition of the BBC radio show, Pop! Go the Beatles. The show aired on July 23. This recording can be heard on the collection, Live at the BBC.

An earlier recording of the Beatles singing a shortened version of this song is in existence from the Hamburg days (Live! At the Star-Club).

There's nothing shaking but the leaves on the trees
