Sure to Fall (In Love with You) is a Carl Perkins song, written by him with Bill Cantrell and Quinton Claunch. It came out in December, 1955 with Tennessee on the b-side. It was supposed to be his sequel to Blue Suede Shoes, but it did not chart. However, the Beatles admired the song and included it in their (failed) Decca audition on January 1, 1962. On June 1, 1963 they recorded Sure to Fall (In Love With You) for the BBC (Pop! Go the Beatles, Edition 3) and then performed it live for three more BBC programs. When Ringo released his album Stop and Smell the Roses in 1981, he added this song to his playlist.

I want you for the rest of my life
